Store lambs spiked from $75 to $92 being $3 to $4 dearer. Heavy cross bred ewes sold well from $75 to $95.

FEBRUARY STORE SALE – FRIDAY, 9TH MARCH

A much larger than advertised yarding of over 2300 cattle came forward. A good quality run of weaner steers were offered and these sold to strong demand from both local re4stockers and feedlots and live export competition to $20-$40 above expectations. The heifer sale did not match the steer sale, with competition lacking at times, to see heifers finish $50-$60 per head back on last month. A feature of the cows was a Hereford dispersal of Autumn calving cows making $1400 -$1620.
